Highly informed speakers attract sell-out crowds at the monthly luncheon programs sponsored by the Republican Women of Benzie County pursuant to their mission to “ promote an informed electorate through political education”.

The program luncheons are open to the public; men and women of all political persuasions are welcome. Topics and speakers tackle issues of import at the county, state and national level. The luncheons are held at the Betsie Bay Inn on Main Street in Frankfort . They begin at 11:30 am the first Monday of every month except for holidays and then the programs are held the following Monday. To ensure a spot is available, reservations are required and easily made by calling 882-4112 and leaving a message. The reservation deadline is always the Friday before the Monday luncheon. The cost of $13 is collected at the door. Attendees often remark on the quality of the programs and the welcome displayed by Club members towards guests.

Established in 2003 with just a handful of interested women, the Club's membership grew rapidly, reaching a range of 50 to 60 paid members by 2009. Dues are only $25/year, part of which goes to support the Club's affiliation in the Republican Women's Federation of Michigan and the National Federation of Republican Women. All persons registered to vote who are in agreement with the purpose and objectives of the club are eligible for associate and regular membership. The full purpose of the Club, per the By Laws, is:

•  To promote an informed electorate through political education;

•  To encourage active political participation on the part of its members;

•  To assist the County or District Republican Committees;

•  To work for the election of Republican Party nominees;

•  To support the policies and objectives of the National Federation and the Republican State Committee of Michigan.
