Another Midnight Tax Hike?
It didn't take a genius to figure it out, but I did predict we would come to this "wisdom" came from personal experiences of two years ago. Ther just isn't enough courage in Lansing to fce the difficultcuts that must be made. Nor is there enough intestinal fortitude around to stick the taxpayers with another tax hike.
We are probably still about $3 billion short of revenue needed tomeet all the "needs" ofthe governor, lawmakers, and lobbyists who have weighed in with demands. Bills are nowbeing introduced toraise revenue (taxes).
Motivated by family circumstances that mirror the circumstances of so many Michigan families, State Representative Darwin L. Booher announced today that he will run for the State Senate. At a news conference in Evart, where he officially opened his campaign headquarters.
